Common record types
- A / AAAA — point a name to an IPv4 or IPv6 address.
- CNAME — point one hostname to another hostname.
- MX — specify where email for the domain is delivered.
- TXT — publish verification and email-authentication values.
Before changing DNS
Record changes can affect your website and email. Copy the existing value before replacing it, check the hostname carefully, and allow time for DNS caches to expire. If the domain is not listed in HostVyx, confirm that it is attached to your account or contact support.
