To transfer a domain, start from a package card and choose Use an existing domain, followed by Transfer my domain. HostVyx checks that the domain is registered and shows the configured transfer pricing for its TLD before you continue.
Before starting
- Confirm the domain is eligible for transfer with the current registrar.
- Unlock the domain if the registrar requires it.
- Obtain the domain authorization or EPP code when requested.
- Make sure the registrant email can approve transfer messages.
Keep your website and email service active during the transfer. If DNS is managed elsewhere, do not change it until you have confirmed the transfer requirements.
